About 24 km from Kuching by road, inside the Semenggoh Nature Reserve.

• Watch semi-wild orangutans come in from the forest to the feeding area.
• Learn about the centre’s rehabilitation and research work.

The weather here

Orangutans may not come to the feeding area, especially when forest fruit is plentiful. Rain doesn’t stop a visit, but the paths get muddy: wear shoes with grip.

• The orangutans are semi-wild: keep your distance, don’t feed or touch them, and follow the rangers’ instructions.
• Check visiting times with Sarawak Forestry before you go.
